So I have been missing my mom's cooking and so I decided to make arepas. Arepas come from Venezuela, Colombia, and other South American countries. It is a flat patty made from masa, usually stuff the arepas with cheese, tuna, or anything in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
masa
water
salt
- this is a one to one ratio: 1 cup masa, 1 cup water
did you know i am obsessed with arepas? def one of my most favorite foods. next time we are in ny together i must take you to a top notch arepas bar. so cool you have a recipe for them. i am going to try this one! i must remember to take pictures. xo

ReplyDeleteGracias muñeca por recordarte de tus raíces. La mejor harina para arepas es Harina PAN de Venezuela. Se consigue en muchos supermercados. Un consejo, cuando hagas las arepas cocinalas en agau hirviendo con sal hasta que suban, luego las sacas y deja que se sequen un poco. Las metes en el horno a 350 por app. 30 minutos y vas a ver que se inflan y que ricas saben.
